Students submit their proposals to the teacher.
Methods for submission include:
Teacher uses selection process to choose proposals that are suited to the performance. Can also use students in another grade or class to evaluate the proposals for inclusion. All dances, skits and artwork must show evidence of proper preparation and provide a final dress rehearsal check. If goals are not met, item is removed from the performance prior to the final dress rehearsal. Performances are video recorded so that students can watch and assess using a teacher generated set of criteria. Short answer and standards based ratings are provided for each element of the performance. Evaluation includes peer, self and overall assessment components. |
